Hello,

Very interested for my 9 year old son and I am sure his best friend who is 12 will be interested too. Could I have some more info please?

Hi, thanks for your enquiries, the groups will run on a tues, thurs and fri afternoons. We are collecting names at the moment and preferences of times. If you could e-mail me the days you would prefer. The cost is 5€ subs each time they come to the club and we are thinking 1 and a half hours per session. The Summer club will be running at different times and adventure day trips out so the cost will vary upon activity. There are two different troops the vipers for 7year olds to 12 and 13-18 the cobra troop. Each session will be structured and varied between theory and field craft, our aim is to confidence build and teach vital skills. Please e-mail me should you require any further information and your prefered days if interested. We are looking to start 26th of this month.
Kind regards
Darren

BABYFACE PURE PROTEIN

Im sure that everyone has heard about the ´Brazilian Blow Dry´ - it sounds fab for people with hair like mine - goes frizzy at the first sign of humidity!! But when I enquired about it, it costs €120 AARGH!! I then found another product which is available in USA called Babyface Pure Protein. I have relatives over there who sent me some over and I have to say I AM AMAZED!! You simply mix a small capful of the liquid with your usual conditioner, leave for 20 mins then dry your hair as normal. My hair is sily smooth and best of all does not go frizzy!! If anyone is interested in this product I can get it for you at a cost of €40 - this would be shipped direct to you from the USA. This is for a 1oz bottle which lasts for 8-10 applications - each application lasts around 4 weeks. Let me know if you want some - I cant praise it highly enough!!

WI-FI

When we visit our villa I find wi-fi facilities (preferably free) very hard to find in Quesada. I have used the Lime Bar and have heard that there is also wi-fi at Lo Marabu, Claptons, and the bar above Gamma on Dona Pepa but are there any near Super Valu or anywhere near La Marquesa club house?
Also, if anyone knows where i can get wi-fi in Guardamar that would also be very useful.
Thanks

Quesada

The cultural centre has free internet access (Mon-Fri) and I've seen people there with their own computers - I assume that they were accessing the internet. Also there is a really nice coffee shop in Quesada village (behind the information centre) which has WI-Fi facilities - it's run by a very friendly and helpful English lady - the coffee and cakes are delicious.

Bagels&Sofa across the road from the newspaper store (calle Sola) in Quesada has free wi-fi facilities. And it´s fast!
And they have delicious food&drinks!

The access at McDonalds in Torrevieja is no good!!

Re wifi in Guardamar town we saw (Wednesday) there was a big place with many computers, it had a sign 1€/hour. It was on your left as you go down the main road between the big free car park & the Wednesday market. Don't know if that would interest you.

Free wifi at Rayz bar on El Raso urb.

Rojales management in the municipality south of the Costa Blanca has chosen to do this in order to serve its citizens and not least tourists, a great deal of access to the Internet.

Seven locations around the municipality, both in the center and out in the urbanization, it is now installed free networks.

Places the Internet available to all Plaza Blanca de Ciudad Quesada, Biblioteca Municipal, Aula de la Naturaleza, Centro Cultural de Ciudad Quesada, nuevo Centro Cultural de Heredades and Centro De Información Juvenil.

Many thanks for all your responses and apologies for the delay in replying, but we went to the villa soon after I made the original posting and, since returning, I have been rather laid up with a nasty throat I must have caught on the plane. While over in Quesada I found the following:

By the Quesada fountain roundabout near la Marquesa:
Free wi-fi at Shenannigans, The Asia Wok and The Olde 9th, but El Pirata, previously my preferred choice for a beer or coffee in the sun, unfortunately does not have wi-fi. Spencers bar was soon to re-open as a rock bar and I was advised that wi-fi would be available.

Near the Arches:
I didn’t find much here so the mention of Bagels & Sofa is very useful – I don’t often seem to venture into this road. Peter and Ana - Is this the coffee shop you mention in your posting? At Mulberry’s there was a wi-fi signal with their name but they refused to give the password out to customers. I was not aware of the facilities provided by Rojales at municipal sites and they are to be applauded for this.
Guardamar:
The only restaurant I could find along the front was the excellent fish restaurant, La Rodero, near the beach houses. – very pleasant and helpful. I was also told that there is wi-fi at a couple of cafes in the town but have not located them yet.

I hope this is of use for others and I hope that more bar owners will wake up to the fact that installing and advertising free wi-fi will attract customers.

PLACES TO EAT

I am coming over for Easter with my family, never been to the area before but my friend has given me the keys to their place. I just need help with knowing the best places to go, to eat. I would also like to know where I can get a car from in Catral, I have a lift too and from the airport but need transport once I arrive.

Catral

Hi Dave. There are a lot of great places to eat in Catral, whether you want English, Indian or traditional Spanish. Most of our bars do amazing tapas which are a meal in themselves! Its hard to choose just 1. I would go to the main high street and just walk along and look at them all. I did this the first time and chose the one that smelt the best!lol. I have never been disappointed. Regarding a hire car the nearest place I know of is in Quesada...Coys rent a car. I would book up quick though as its easter. I hope this helps.
